Overview
Full-Time, Elementary Teacher
The qualified individual must be an evangelical Christian committed to living a Biblical lifestyle. He/she is expected to demonstrate patience, humility, and kindness while performing his or her day-to-day duties. The person hired must be willing to work prayerfully with administration, faculty, students, and parents, while directing a classroom program that is educationally sound and Biblically-based.
Personal Qualifications
- Be deeply committed to a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ; - Demonstrate the joy of the Christian life daily; - Follow the principles of Matthew 18 when dealing with students, faculty, administration and parents; - Motivate students toward proper behavior and toward a love for learning; - Model cleanliness, modesty, and good taste in personal appearance.
Professional Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; - Current ACSI and/or State Teaching certification in Elementary Education preferred; - Two or more years’ classroom teaching experience preferred; - Knowledge of computer technology use in a classroom setting required;
Professional Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in customary subject areas; - Providing, communicating, and teaching to specific and clear objectives for each lesson;
- Employ a variety of techniques, learning experiences, and strategies, aligned with the over-all curriculum and with specific lesson objectives allowing for the needs of the various achievement levels and of specific students; - Establishing and maintaining a purposeful, written plan for classroom discipline and classroom management with administrative approval and general staff input; - Establishing and maintaining an orderly classroom environment through strong classroom management and discipline skills appropriate to the grade levels taught at any given time; - Establishing and maintaining a system for issuing grades for students appropriate to specific grade levels. - Cooperating with teaching and administrative staff in planning and conducting activities outside of the classroom such as field trips, programs, etc.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
