We are united in pursuing intellectual inquiry, academic excellence, integrity, and service to others.Position SummaryFoothill Country Day School is currently seeking a Facilities Associate who will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of facilities and grounds. The Facilities Associate performs routine handyman work, cleaning, disinfecting, maintenance functions and is able to work both independently and collaboratively with the Facilities team to ensure all facilities and grounds needs are met. The Facilities Associate demonstrates attention to detail, thoroughness, and care in performing all duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Trash and recycling removalClean and sanitize restroomsSweep, mop, vacuum, and deep clean flooringClean entrance doors, frames, light fixtures, vents, and windows/blindsWipe away smudges/fingerprints on walls, countertops etc.Remove dust and clean all furniture and fixturesClean and disinfect kitchen floor matsDisinfect light switches, doorknobs, keypads, handles, faucets, drinking fountains, railings, and any other high touch surfaceRemove dust from frames, trophy cases, shelves, baseboards, and cornersClean all students and faculty/staff chairsClean and organize custodial closetHandyman tasks on as needed basisAssist Facilities Associates with anything that involves a team effortSet up and break down tables and chairs for meetings and special functionsClose and lock the campus by ensuring windows, doors, and gates are locked, lights are turned off, heating and air conditioning is off, and alarms are setDaily duties are subject to change based on school events and Facilities Team attendanceThe ideal candidate will have the following educational and work background:High School Diploma or GED1-2 years previous experience with cleaning, custodial, or facilities and grounds workHandyman skills, including but not limited to painting, mounting and installation of small appliances/fixtures, minor plumbing, and basic appliance repair requiredThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:Understanding of Foothills Mission and Core ValuesDemonstrates personal integrity, friendliness, patience, sensitivity, flexibility, and enthusiasmInteracts positively with students, administrators, co-workers, families, and communityWorks collaboratively with others in the school communityDetail oriented, reliable, and communicate effectivelyAbility to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.Ability to work outdoors under adverse weather conditionsAbility to climb ladders and stairsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This position requires continuous physical activity.
