What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center?
Foothill Acres Rehab and Nursing center is looking for a part time Dietary Aide to join our team.
The ideal Dietary Aide provides quick, efficient, pleasant delivery of food to residents and guests ensuring the quality standards of food and service are being delivered This position reports to the Dining Services Manager or any other staff person assigned by the Dining Services Director. They perform various positions in the tray line or utility areas of the department as assigned.
- Assist in the preparation of food.
- Set up food and supplies needed in assigned workstation for the next meal.
- Assemble meal trays accurately and attractively according to the planned menu, resident’s/registrant’s meal ticket, portion control, and food handling and sanitation codes.
- Assist in checking trays for appearance, accuracy, and completeness. Deliver/collect late trays.
- Ensures resident satisfaction.
- Responds quickly to resident requests.
- Reports any resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager immediately.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of Foothill Acres.
- Completes all side work as assigned.
- Complies with all Federal and State health codes.
- Attends all in-services training.
- Handles equipment safely and quietly to minimize breakage.
- Performs all duties in adherence to Foothill Acres standards.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
