What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Foot and Ankle Institute of Nevada?
Busy medical practice seeking a medical assistant to assist with daily clinic and procedures. Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, prep procedure trays for provider, assist as directed, etc. Inform patients of costs for care being provided and guide them to appropriate resources for further information. Type routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy. Answer telephones, schedule appointments, screen callers, relay messages and greet visitors. Other job duties may be assigned. Certified Medical Assistant preferred, however willing to train the right person. Background check and drug test may be required prior to official start of position.
