What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Professional Assistant position at Foot and Ankle Associates of WI?
We are a mid-size practice that is looking for a reliable individual to join our work family! We have been practicing in the Waukesha community for over 40 years and are continuing to grow!
As we continue to add more doctors, we have Immediate openings for 1 part-time/pool medical assistants/professional assistant as well as 1 full-time (34-40 hours) positions that are now available.
Job duties include taking patient vitals, rooming patients, updating medications and allergies, cleaning exam rooms and instruments. Candidate should also be able to schedule appointments, schedule surgeries, do prior authorizations, complete and fax paperwork and be willing to help out in other areas as needed.
Must be professional and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Epic certification is a plus.
Both positions will be based out of our Pewaukee location but will be scheduled to cover any of our locations (Pewaukee, Oconomowoc, Hartland, Muskego, Mukwonago, and Brookfield) as needed.
Shifts: Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS, must be able to work Wednesdays from 2:00pm-7:00pm if needed
This position will be working between all the locations depending on office needs. Rooming with doctors a few days a week while incorporating time during the week for surgery scheduling and prior authorizations.
Part time/pool: shifts can vary week to week but will average between 15-25 hours a week
Full time: 34-40 hours a week
We want every assistant to be to clinic at least 30 minutes prior to the first patient slot, to make sure the rooms are open, stocked, and you have time to prep for clinic.
There is no set “end” time to the clinics. If you still have patients being seen, you are scheduled until the patients are done. The end times are an estimate based off of the time slots we have available to patients for scheduling.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
