Prep Cook and Line Cook

Foodstuffs is looking for a full-time cooks in our busy kitchen supporting four retail gourmet food stores and a catering division.

Monday - Saturday (with occasional Sundays only to cover production for large conventions, however it will be rare)

Weekly hours start at 4:00 am - 12:00 pm or later as necessary. Position supports a flexible weekly schedule.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 or older.

Must have solid knife skills and ability to follow standardized recipes & attention to detail is a must.

Knowledge of basic conversions from pounds to ounces and grams.

Knowledge of cooking / holding temperatures hot and cold.

All candidates should be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and able to work on their feet for long periods of time.

Food handler certification will be required, if candidate does not have it, company will pay for employee to take training/test.

Responsibilities: cutting vegetables, measuring ingredients, fabricating meat for production, roasting, poaching, and blanching of ingredients.
