Foodland Super Market, Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer is hiring for Apprentice Fish Cutters to join our team!

This is an hourly position, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).

Fish Cutters are responsible but are not limited to the below:

• Ensure the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
• Receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
• Handle proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
• Attend to the service case
• Assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
• Help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items.
• Comfortable working with equipment like wrapping machines and knives.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds
• Must successfully pass apprentice/training program (applies to apprentice only)
• Must have Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance or willingness to take test if hired
• Must be able to reliably commute to work on time
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements
