Foodland Super Market is looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and customer service-oriented individuals to join our team as Store Office Clerk.
This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Staffing our Customer Service Counters and providing many services to our customers, including:
- answering and routing telephone calls,
- solving problems,
- issuing money orders,
- providing rain checks,
- handling bill payments,
- selling convenience items like postage stamps and bus passes
- balancing cash drawers, preparing store deposits, and completing necessary paperwork.
Store Office Clerks work with computers, adding machines, cash register systems, and frequently use the store intercoms to make announcements and to contact various departments. In addition, they must be able to perform all duties of a cashier.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier and office clerk training after hire
- Retail customer service and cash handling experience preferred
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
