We are searching for an IT Service Desk Technician to join our IT team.
Essential Duties:
- Answer end user telephone calls and emails in a prompt and professional manner
- Accurately record incident information using the Service Desk ticketing system
- Troubleshoot point-of-sale, application, hardware, telephone, and network incidents
- Escalate incidents to level 2 based on initial troubleshooting
- Computer and general IT equipment repairs
- Load Windows computers and applications based on specified company configurations
- Prepare point-of-sale system equipment
- Travel to company locations to perform break/fix work and troubleshoot incidents related to hardware, services, and network
- Applicant must have a valid Driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed
Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Must provide remote application support
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage time wisely
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education/Experience:
- Must have experience with PC hardware
- 1 or more years of service desk (help desk) experience required
- 1 or more years of customer service experience required
- Associate’s degree, A , or similar technical certification preferred
Working Environment:
- Most work takes place in an office environment, but some required work may take place in non-standard workplaces, possibly stores.
- Some inter-island travel may be needed.

- Must be able to comprehend, remember and implement processes, procedures.
- Must be able to learn new tasks, adapt to changes, and stay updated with industry trends.
- Must be able to maintain focus on all tasks.
- Must be able to read, interpret and respond to reports, emails, or other written materials.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently sits, performs desk-based computer tasks, and stands and/or walks for long periods in stores.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Communication Demands:
The position requires talking and listening to employees, supervisors, executives, and outside trade persons/vendors; written communication to employees, supervisors, executives, and outside persons/vendors; receiving and responding to written or verbal requests; reading; writing.
