Position Overview
We’re looking for a Program Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and growth of FOODiversity programs. This role will work closely with the Executive Director and Program Coordinator to ensure programs are impactful, well-organized, and aligned with FOODiversity’s mission. The Program Manager serves as the bridge between strategy and implementation, keeping projects moving, supporting partners, and helping FOODiversity expand its reach in meaningful ways.
Key Responsibilities
- Support our Food Delivery Program, Early Introduction Parent Program, and Community Engagement Initiatives from planning through execution.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Program Coordinator, and volunteer team.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, national organizations, and donors.
- Track program outcomes and contribute to program evaluation and impact reporting.
- Identify opportunities to increase program effectiveness and expand reach.
- Design and execute fundraising events to acquire donors to support FOODiversity’s initiatives.
- Represent FOODiversity on a local, regional, and national stage.
- Lead end-to-end grant activities, ensuring timely applications, accurate reporting, and alignment with program and budgetary goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field
- 3 years of experience in program management, public health, or nonprofit work
- 2 years of experience in fundraising or grant management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to analyze program performance, produce reports, and use data for decision-making
- Ability to help facilitate groups or team activities
- Experience working with community-based programs or initiatives
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
- Interact with people with sensitivity, appreciation, and always without discrimination with regard to race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, socioeconomic position, physical or mental abilities, sexual orientation, and gender identification.
- Access to and proficiency in Google Workspace, social media, and Zoom.
Prefered Skills & Knowledge
- Familiarity with disparities in healthcare, barriers to care and how lack of access affects community members; nutrition; and/or community health initiatives.
- Experience supporting donor acquisition and fundraising efforts, including campaigns and events.
- Experience with grant research and proposal development.
- Ability to support donor stewardship and retention through communications and follow-up.
- Comfort engaging with board members and volunteers in fundraising efforts.
- Comfort working in a small, fast-paced and hands-on nonprofit environment.
- Knowledge or lived experience of food insecurity and the emergency food system.
- Expansive knowledge or lived experience in diet-treated diseases, like food allergies or celiac disease.
- Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems.
- Passion for contributing to food access initiatives and serving at-risk populations
