Job Responsibilities
- Balance improvement of future model planning and standardization with current support to make long-term gains in productivity and innovation
- Monitor and ensure the quality of drawings and designs produced
- Mentor, train, and develop team members' skills and capabilities
- Assist the Director of Projects and Product Development with budgets, costs, production schedules, and project planning
- Secure tools, equipment, and resources needed for team success
- Partner with HR and the Director of Engineering and Product Development on recruiting and hiring
- Stay current on manufacturing technologies and trends, and communicate updates to management
- Multitask across multiple concurrent projects in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; equivalent experience gained in the potato processing industry will be considered
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in equipment design or engineering
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD as needed
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with manufactured equipment and the potato processing industry
- Strong capability and confidence in designs created
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong managerial and leadership ability
- Positive and confident customer support skills
- Team-oriented, self-motivated work style
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
