POSITION TITLE: ASSEMBLER
POSITION DEPARTMENT: Production
POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Assemble commercial kitchen equipment and subcomponents according to engineering specifications, part prints, and work instructions. Utilize hand tools, air tools, and basic fabrication equipment to ensure products are built accurately, efficiently, and to FWE quality standards.
Contribute to a team-oriented production environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, and able to follow instructions while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assemble components and subassemblies for commercial kitchen equipment including warming and refrigeration units
2. Read and interpret part prints, work instructions, and basic technical drawings
3. Utilize hand tools, air tools, rivet guns, and spot welders to complete assemblies
4. Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and specifications
5. Perform basic inspections to verify fit, finish, and proper assembly
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
7. Follow all safety procedures and company policies
8. Work collaboratively with team members and support cross-functional production needs
9. Meet production goals and maintain efficiency standards
10. Support cross training and assist in other production areas as assigned
11. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
12. Perform other related duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
· Ability to read and interpret basic part prints and instructions
· Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic
· Basic computer skills preferred
· Professional, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus, but not required
· Willingness to learn and be trained in assembly processes and equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
· Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
· Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
