Job Overview
We are seeking a professional, motivated Sales Manager to lead our inside and outside sales teams within a growing wholesale food distribution company. This position plays a key role in driving sales growth, maintaining relationships with key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and guiding our sales team toward achieving company goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in foodservice or distribution sales and the ability to balance hands-on account management with strategic oversight.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor inside and outside sales representatives to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with company objectives and market opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with key customers and prospective accounts while identifying and securing new business.
- Partner with purchasing and operations teams to ensure product availability, competitive pricing, and customer satisfaction.
- Review daily and monthly sales performance reports, route profitability, and product movement to inform strategy.
- Approve new product requests, coordinate with purchasing for sourcing and pricing, and collaborate with vendors to introduce new items.
- Conduct regular meetings with sales staff and vendors to review goals, performance metrics, and promotional opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and community or industry events.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that supports the company’s mission and values.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the foodservice or wholesale distribution industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies, set goals, and monitor performance.
- Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Experience collaborating with vendors, brokers, and key customer accounts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Projected Total Compensation: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
