Cashier – Fort Dix Dining Facility
Location: Fort Dix, New Jersey

Food Services Inc. of Gainesville is seeking dependable and customer-service-focused Cashiers to support dining facility operations at Fort Dix. This position is responsible for greeting patrons, processing meal transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting smooth meal service operations.
Cashiers work split shifts during scheduled meal periods, which may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with customers in a structured dining facility environment.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and authorized patrons in a professional and courteous manner.
Operate the cash register or point-of-sale system accurately during meal periods.
Process payments, verify meal cards or authorized access, and follow established transaction procedures.
Maintain accountability of cash, receipts, meal counts, and required records.
Follow dining facility procedures regarding authorized patrons, meal charges, receipts, and accountability.
Assist with opening, setup, closing, and cleanup of the cashier station.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional cashier area throughout the shift.
Communicate with supervisors regarding customer concerns, register issues, meal count discrepancies, or unusual situations.
Follow all customer service, sanitation, safety, and facility procedures.
Support the dining facility team as needed during meal periods.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous cashier, customer service, retail, cafeteria, dining facility, or food service experience is preferred.
Ability to accurately handle cash, receipts, meal cards, and transaction records.
Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
Ability to follow instructions, policies, and accountability procedures.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to report to work as scheduled.
Must be able to work split shifts during scheduled meal periods.
Must be able to stand for extended periods during meal service.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays when required.
Must be able to pass any required background check or installation access requirements.
