Position Scope
The Field Service Technician will modify, repair, and improve existing equipment and controls and will assist in troubleshooting systems, components, or products.

The Field Service Technician will modify, repair, and improve existing equipment and controls and will assist in troubleshooting systems, components, or products.
Key Responsibilities
- Repairs, installs, and inspects systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications
- Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the organization’s systems
- Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs
- Manages and installs cables and wiring, splicing as needed
- Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various processes
- Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions
- Reports potentially dangerous conditions to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue
- Completes service reports electronically
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of freezer operations and application
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Ability to follow highly complex directions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or applicable experience preferred
- Prolonged periods of standing in a factory environment and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment
