Pay: from $16/hour
Availability: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shifts are based on operation hours of 9am-9pm. Current shift priorities include the following:
- PM Full Shift: approximately 1:00pm-9:30pm
- PM Partial Closing Shifts: 6 hour evenings, closing by 9:30pm
- Weekends highly preferred
- Open availability (open–close schedules) is welcome
We are currently seeking Sales Associates to join our team at Accents inside the Ala Moana Hotel — a retail market serving hotel guests, visitors, and local customers.
Sales Associates provide friendly and efficient retail customer service while supporting the daily operations of the store. Responsibilities include operating computerized cash register systems to provide accurate checkout services, assisting customers with locating merchandise, and bagging purchases when needed. Sales Associates also help maintain a clean and organized store environment and assist with stocking merchandise and supplies to ensure product availability for customers.
This role frequently interacts with hotel guests, visitors, and local customers, and plays an important part in creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience while meeting the standards of excellent World Class customer service standards under company policy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.

Assist customers in locating products and answering basic questions about merchandise.

Provide accurate and efficient checkout using the store’s computerized POS system.

Bag customer purchases when needed and ensure a smooth checkout experience.

Assist with stocking shelves, coolers, and displays to maintain product availability.

Help receive and organize merchandise deliveries.

Ensure products are properly displayed, labeled, and rotated as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented store environment.

Support general store upkeep, including organizing merchandise and maintaining displays.

Follow proper cash handling procedures and company operational standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous customer service experience, preferred.
- Previous cash handling and POS systems experience, preferred.
- Previous retail or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to process payments, provide change, and reconcile cash at the end of a shift.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to read and identify merchandise items and operate computerized cash register systems.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Demonstrates a positive, service-oriented attitude and a commitment to providing a welcoming customer experience.
- Must possess a valid TB clearance as required by local regulations.
- Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and workplace requirements.
