Key Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- 2/3 days on-site, primarily signing
- Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputed matters.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout your assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).
- Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward effectively and professionally.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across multiple matters.
Qualifications
- Active law license in the state of Virginia.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze cases and negotiate effective settlements.
- Strong understanding of civil litigation practices and courtroom procedures.
- Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.
- Self-motivated professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
