Key Responsibilities
- Lead, review, and oversee complex tax engagements and returns
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on tax matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Assurance & Advisory teams
- Manage workflow and delegate responsibilities across tax staff and seniors
- Represent clients before taxing authorities as needed
- Stay current on evolving tax laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly
- Mentor, coach, and develop high-performing tax professionals
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to firm growth
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive public accounting tax experience
- Strong background in complex tax engagements and client advisory services
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing staff
- Experience representing clients before taxing authorities
- Active CPA license in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
Additional Details
- Occasional travel for client meetings and firm events
- Some overtime required throughout the year
- Busy season (January–April) may require 55 hour workweeks
