We are recruiting for a Senior Frontend Engineer for a fast-growing consumer marketplace technology company in New York City.
This is a high-impact frontend engineering role focused on rebuilding high-traffic customer-facing web experiences, improving performance, and helping set the frontend architecture and standards the team will use going forward.
This is not a maintenance role. This is a strong opportunity for a senior frontend engineer who wants real ownership, modern React / Next.js work, and a path toward broader technical leadership.
What You Will Do

Lead major frontend initiatives across high-traffic consumer web experiences

Build and improve modern web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript

Own frontend architecture decisions, reusable patterns, routing, data fetching, caching, and component structure

Improve Core Web Vitals, SEO, site speed, conversion, and overall user experience

Partner closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and leadership

Help raise the technical bar through code reviews, standards, mentoring, and strong engineering judgment

Work in a product-focused engineering environment where quality, speed, and business impact all matter
Must Have

7 years of production web application development experience

Strong React experience

Strong JavaScript / TypeScript experience

Experience with modern frontend architecture

Experience with Next.js, SSR, SPA, or similar modern web frameworks

Experience building high-traffic, consumer-facing, product-driven web applications

Ability to lead frontend projects from design through release

Strong understanding of performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals, testing, and maintainable code

Strong product sense and ability to work closely with Product and Design teams

Compensation: $170K to $210K base salary plus equity
