Join our global Transmission & Distribution practice and lead transformative distribution modernization projects across the South-Central Region. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of engineering projects, drive client relationships, and deliver innovative solutions that modernize power distribution systems. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional looking to combine technical expertise with leadership and business development opportunities.
What You’ll Do:

Manage projects from concept to completion, including routing/siting, environmental permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, procurement, construction administration, and closeout.

Serve as the primary client contact, developing and strengthening long-term relationships to secure repeat business and expand service offerings.

Prepare proposals, assist with client presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.

Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control costs to ensure successful project delivery.

Own project financials, including cost forecasting, accruals, risk management, and change management.

Implement project policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring adherence to QA/QC guidelines.

Lead project communications with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.

Collaborate with department managers to ensure proper staffing, mentoring, and development of team members.

Provide regular reporting on project progress, costs, schedule, safety, environmental concerns, and design questions.

Travel to client sites and project locations as required.
Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field (or equivalent experience). Advanced degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive distribution engineering experience, including 3 years managing engineering projects.

Demonstrated success in project management, with proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of applying broad knowledge to complex assignments.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to present complex information clearly to clients, management, and teams.

Experience producing distribution design and construction documents.

Knowledge of NESC and other relevant industry codes and standards.

Proven ability to develop business, cultivate client relationships, and expand service offerings.

Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Willingness and ability to travel; valid driver’s license required.

Previous consulting experience preferred.
