Join our global Transmission & Distribution practice and lead transformative distribution modernization projects across the South-Central Region. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of engineering projects, drive client relationships, and deliver innovative solutions that modernize power distribution systems. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional looking to combine technical expertise with leadership and business development opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage projects from concept to completion, including routing/siting, environmental permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, procurement, construction administration, and closeout.

  • Serve as the primary client contact, developing and strengthening long-term relationships to secure repeat business and expand service offerings.

  • Prepare proposals, assist with client presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.

  • Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control costs to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Own project financials, including cost forecasting, accruals, risk management, and change management.

  • Implement project policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring adherence to QA/QC guidelines.

  • Lead project communications with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.

  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure proper staffing, mentoring, and development of team members.

  • Provide regular reporting on project progress, costs, schedule, safety, environmental concerns, and design questions.

  • Travel to client sites and project locations as required.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field (or equivalent experience). Advanced degree may substitute for one year of experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive distribution engineering experience, including 3 years managing engineering projects.

  • Demonstrated success in project management, with proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of applying broad knowledge to complex assignments.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to present complex information clearly to clients, management, and teams.

  • Experience producing distribution design and construction documents.

  • Knowledge of NESC and other relevant industry codes and standards.

  • Proven ability to develop business, cultivate client relationships, and expand service offerings.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to travel; valid driver’s license required.

  • Previous consulting experience preferred.
