A top-tier, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm is seeking a Construction Manager to support the delivery of mission-critical facilities, including data centers and high-availability infrastructure. This role partners with Project Managers and Construction Managers to support execution across all project phases—from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
This is a hands-on role with significant field exposure, supporting safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day construction activities for mission-critical projects, including data centers and critical infrastructure facilities
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with OSHA and company HSE standards
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field teams to support seamless EPC project delivery
- Help develop and implement Project Execution Plans (PEP), safety plans, QA/QC programs, and staffing plans
- Support subcontractor procurement, including RFP development, bid evaluation, and contract administration
- Assist with contract processes including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation
- Track project progress, maintain documentation, and support reporting on schedule, cost, and risk
- Coordinate site logistics, mobilization/demobilization, and permitting requirements
- Support commissioning, startup, and turnover processes for mission-critical systems
- Assist with materials management, inventory control, and equipment coordination
- Ensure compliance with project documentation standards, insurance requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Collaborate with superintendents and field teams to monitor subcontractor performance and site progress
- Participate in safety, quality, and financial audits
- Support project closeout, warranty tracking, and documentation turnover
- Assist with workforce planning, labor tracking, and cost analysis
- Mentor interns or junior staff as needed and support team development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of construction experience, preferably supporting mission-critical or large-scale commercial projects
- Experience with data centers, critical facilities, or high-availability environments preferred
- Basic understanding of EPC project delivery and construction management processes
- Familiarity with project controls (scheduling, cost tracking, document control systems)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Working knowledge of project financials and basic accounting principles (GAAP)
- Willingness to travel up to 100% based on project requirements
