We’re recruiting for a Litigation Legal Assistant opportunity with a respected law firm in Cleveland. This role is ideal for someone with strong law firm administrative experience who can support attorneys with litigation filings, deadlines, billing, document preparation, and day-to-day client service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and legal team members
- Prepare, edit, proofread, and finalize legal and business documents
- Electronically file documents with courts and communicate professionally with court personnel
- Track key deadlines, calendar dates, CLE items, reimbursements, and related follow-up
- Support client service needs, including scheduling, phone calls, meetings, and guest coordination
- Create, maintain, organize, and close files in accordance with firm procedures
- Assist with billing tasks, time entry, pre-bill review, reports, cover letters, and follow-up
- Prioritize multiple requests while staying responsive, accurate, and detail-focused
Qualifications:
- Hands-on legal assistant experience in a law firm setting
- Litigation support experience, including e-filing and deadline tracking
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with document management, billing, and legal workflow systems preferred
- Familiarity with tools such as Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS , iManage, or similar platforms is helpful
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong judgment, organization, follow-through, and client service mindset
