What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geospatial CAD Technician position at Food Management Search?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Geospatial CAD Technician to join our engineering team in our Phoenix office. This full-time role supports land surveying and civil engineering projects through advanced drafting, data processing, and mapping deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop right-of-way plans, boundary plats, topographic maps, digital terrain models, and supporting exhibits for public infrastructure projects.
- Process and reduce survey field data, conduct records research, and compile site-specific information.
- Interpret and apply Public Land Survey System (PLSS) data, title commitments, easements, Arizona Boundary Survey Minimum Standards, and municipal submittal requirements.
- Produce accurate and high-quality deliverables using MicroStation and OpenRoads or InRoads.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project teams while maintaining clear written and verbal communication.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of office-based land surveying or survey drafting experience.
- LSIT certification preferred, but not required.
- Associate degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads or InRoads.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
