This position is responsible for setting up and digitally printing and packaging signs by zone order and packaging the sets together to distribute to all Food Lion stores. This position will also produce store signage by using InDesign and setting templates up to be printed.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Proficiently printing weekly price signage needs for all Food Lion stores (around 400,00) as well as total banner needs.
- Prints the weekly insert signs, which includes stapling and packaging for distribution.
- Package all weekly thematic signs, and ensure timely distribution.
- Responsible for loading all signs for distribution.
- Responsible for cutting and banding, by zone, all sets upon completion with use of banding machine.
- Sets up signage files in Adobe InDesign program to produce signage and adjusts the program when needed to correct the field of print. Uses and creates different templates based on signage needs.
- Responsible for light maintenance that includes adding wire to the stitcher, adding banding material to the banding machine, maintaining paper supplies, correcting paper jams, and adding and removing toner bottles.
- Assists other areas within the print and sign shop.
- Ensure work area is neat and tidy, and kept in order.
- High school diploma or relevant trade experience
- Good written and verbal skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Good knowledge of pre-press operations and printing processes
- Must be able to perform under the pressure of deadlines and schedules
- Good knowledge of problem solving methods and techniques related to this job
- Ability to communicate with supervisor and other employees effectively to produce quality work on schedule
- Some duties may vary and require climbing stairs, walking, standing and bending (20%)
- Work positions require working with both hands extended in front of body at a distance of 10-18 inches (70%)
- Lift materials weighing up to 40lbs off shelves to workstation up to 10 times per hour
