What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Food & Fire BBQ Tap-House?
We are looking for experienced cooks to join our BBQ team. Reliability & punctuality are a must. We are looking specifically for people who want to work and want to be part of a team. Both FOH and BOH work as 1 team. This is a very important dynamic to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow management or chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Getting along with others
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
