About Position:
The Line Cook prepares food to the exact Chef’s specifications and is responsible for preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces & vinaigrettes). The Line Cook assists with menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Experience in full service restaurant is required, including working fryer, grill and/or flat top
- 2 or more years of line cook experience, preferred
- Experience cooking saute items (i.e., steak, salmon, etc.) to temp, preferred
- Understanding of cooking basic methods, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to carry 10 to 15 pounds up and down stairs, frequently
- Ability to carry 50 pounds up and down stairs, infrequently
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, up to 8 hours with repetitive motions
- Flexible schedule
