About Position:

The Line Cook prepares food to the exact Chef’s specifications and is responsible for preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces & vinaigrettes). The Line Cook assists with menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

Requirements:

• Experience in full service restaurant is required, including working fryer, grill and/or flat top
• 2 or more years of line cook experience, preferred
• Experience cooking saute items (i.e., steak, salmon, etc.) to temp, preferred
• Understanding of cooking basic methods, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to carry 10 to 15 pounds up and down stairs, frequently
• Ability to carry 50 pounds up and down stairs, infrequently
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, up to 8 hours with repetitive motions
• Flexible schedule
• Self Motivated & Task-driven

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
