Food Farm Exploration Center (F FEC), in partnership with Farming for the Future Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating current and future generations about agricultural innovation and sustainability. Located in Plover, Wisconsin, F FEC aims to deepen the understanding of modern agriculture, promote agricultural literacy, and foster connections between farmers and consumers. Position Overview
F FEC is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and manage events that create meaningful experiences for our guests. Reporting to the Culinary & Events Director, this role works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every detail—from concept to completion—is thoughtfully coordinated. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and enjoys collaborating across teams to deliver seamless events that align with the center’s commitment to agricultural education and innovation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate events that provide seamless, high-quality experiences for clients and guests, while offering opportunities to engage with the organization’s mission through optional tours, exhibits, or presentations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, provide recommendations, and coordinate event logistics, including room layouts, food & beverage service, audio-visual needs, timelines, and educational programming.
- Drive event revenue through proactive client engagement, upselling, and post-event follow-up to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, including setup/teardown, sanitation, parking, and departmental alignment.
- Maintain accurate event records, orders, and billing details using CRM and event management systems.
- Contribute to menu and event offering development in partnership with culinary and events leadership.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure exceptional client and guest experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools.
- Experience with CRM and event management software preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and event logistics a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands
- Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, squatting/crouching, crawling/kneeling, pushing/pulling, climbing (ladders), reaching above the shoulders, lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and mobility around event spaces.
