The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is a non-profit organization that has been in business for 25 years. Our mission is to serve as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana. Our vision is to ultimately end hunger in Northwest Louisiana by ensuring a consolidated network of effective food collection and distribution which will provide universal access to food for the needy in our community.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Agency Relations Coordinator is an hourly clerical position that will oversee and direct the activities that support and strengthen relationships with our partner agencies. This includes oversight and recruiting of new agency partners and to foster collaborative relationships between the private and public sectors to address community needs. The Agency Relations Coordinator must demonstrate an active commitment to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana’s mission in all aspects of daily work.
REPORTS TO:
· Primary – Director of Agency Relations and Programs
· Secondary – Executive Director
HOURS:
· Monday – Friday/8:00 – 4:30 (Occasional weekends/events as required.)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop positive and productive working relationships with all member agencies.
· Provide exceptional customer service and communication to all member agencies.
· Research, visit and perform new member agency recruitment and development throughout seven parish service area.
· Provide all member agency training in accordance with Feeding America and USDA guidelines.
· Provide new agency orientation.
· Perform member agency development and onsite inspections of all member agencies throughout seven parish service area to ensure compliance with Feeding America and USDA guidelines.
· Maintain and file all required documentation in agency files in accordance with Feeding America and USDA guidelines.
· Maintain updated and accurate agency database on network server.
· Process agency orders and validate quantities being ordered are in alignment with households served.
· Notify Operation’s Department weekly of hold/inactive changes.
· Provide Operation’s Department with new agency set-up information.
· Organize annual agency meetings.
· Facilitate senior box distribution program including sending out notifications, managing sites and insuring accurate accounting for boxes delivered and distributed.
· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in the food industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position is perfect for a seasoned office worker with experience in invoicing and/or auditing. Knowledge of non-profit programming is desired. Must be comfortable traveling with in the service territory and validating our agency partners are adhering to the agreed policies and procedures. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Strong computer skills are required including Excel/WordPerfect/Outlook.
