Food Bank For New York City is seeking a Visual Storytelling Production Intern to join our Marketing & Creative team. This is a hands-on, on-the-ground opportunity for an emerging creative to work alongside our team of Emmy Award–winning storytellers and creatives to capture and elevate the real stories behind food insecurity across New York City.
This intern will play a key role in helping reshape the narrative around food access—documenting powerful, human-centered stories with dignity and impact.

What You’ll Do
As a Visual Storytelling Production Intern, you’ll function as a junior creative producer, contributing across the full storytelling and content lifecycle—from field production to post-production and distribution.
Field Production & Story Gathering
Post-Production & Editing
- Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro for organic and paid media
- Cut clips for social media, campaigns, and digital storytelling initiatives
- Support video and audio recording, editing, and production workflows
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams on storytelling concepts and campaigns
- Support content development for social media, digital campaigns, and brand storytelling
- Upload, organize, and maintain photo/video assets in digital libraries like Canto and Wistia
- Assist with file management, tagging, and archival systems
- Support project coordination and production logistics

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Basic photo/video production skills (camera operation, framing, lighting)
- Strong storytelling instincts and visual sensibility
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Experience with documentary-style storytelling, journalism, or social impact content
- Familiarity with audio recording/editing tools
- Spanish language proficiency (a strong plus!)
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
