Today, over four decades later, our family owned, and operated company maintains the 24/7/365 core philosophy and has locations in Melville, NY, as well as Jessup, MD and Westborough, MA.?Position Overview:Responsible for processing, checking, verifying, and inventorying materials received. Completes related computer entries and documentation. Coordinates materials and finished goods storage and inventory levels with production personnel. Moves materials and finished goods to appropriate storage areas. Processes and ships finished goods. Completes related records, reports, and paperwork. Ensures shipping and receiving functions are completed in accordance with Company standards and procedures. May work indoors or outdoors and at varying temperatures.Required Skills & AbilitiesAbility to apply common sense of understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; to perform the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard; ounce and pound (or their metric counterparts).Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English to effectively communicate, follow written instructions, complete documentation, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily operations.Physical RequirementsBending downward and forward at the waist.
