What You’ll Do
- Assisting Senior Technicians: Work alongside experienced technicians to learn and perform installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various water treatment equipment such as water softeners, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and filtration systems.
- Routine Maintenance and Service: Perform basic service tasks, including changing filters on RO systems and delivering salt to customer homes or businesses.
- Water Quality Testing: Learn to collect and test water samples using test equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Learn the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment used in the trade, including hand tools, power tools, and potentially basic plumbing tools for soldering or pipe fitting.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete required paperwork, service notes, and logs to record operational data and maintenance activities.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers, address their needs, and represent the company positively during service calls.
- Safety and Compliance: Learn and strictly follow all proper safety procedures and protocols, including the handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Vehicle and Workspace Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, tools, and work areas.
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
- Valid driver’s license & insurable driving record
- Reliable attendance — show up on time, every time
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor & strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and commitment to safety
- Ability to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen
- A basic understanding of mechanical work, hand tools and work areas
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50-100 pounds), stand, walk, bend and work in various weather conditions.
- Detail oriented approach to ansure accuracy in testing and recording data
- Problem solving ability
- Willingness to lear and follow instructions
Nice to Have
- Experience with water treatment systems
- Plumbing or other mechanical trade training or experience
