The Fontana Walworth Water Pollution Control Commission (FWWPCC) is accepting applications for a full-time Wastewater Operator.
We’re seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining all FWWPCC facilities, equipment, and collection systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment and collection systems
· Collect samples and perform process control testing and basic laboratory analysis
· Conduct routine facility cleaning, snow removal, and lawn maintenance
· Serve as on-call operator for a seven-day period on a rotating schedule (including holidays)
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver’s license
· Wisconsin Wastewater Operator Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Compensation and Benefits:
· Starting pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
