What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialized Professional Advisor-Arts (AB Miller Hs-Instrument Coach - APXC#1607.26 position at Fontana Unified School District?
The Instrument Coach provides specialized instruction to students in their respective instrumental section (e.g., woodwinds, brass, or percussion) helping them develop technical skills, musicality, and performance confidence. Working with small groups or individuals, the coach provides targeted guidance to support student's progress within the band. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
•
High School Diploma or equivalency.
•
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, in Music Arts or related field.
•
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Music Arts or related field (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
•
Five (5) years of experience teaching music to students in elementary, middle, or high school settings and the ability to implement California Arts Standards for Music.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
•
First Aid and CPR Certificate
•
Proof of required education certificates
•
Valid California Driver’s License or ID
Note: valid, unexpired certificates are required prior to first day of work
