Looking for an energetic, outgoing Medical Assistant to join our fast paced Medical Weight Control Clinic, Full time position.
Minimum of 2-5 years experience as Medical Assistant.
Medical office with a Medical Weight Loss clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant. The right person must be responsible, should have excellent work ethic, a friendly personality, being able to multitask, be a quick learner and also self-motivated. The ideal candidate would be a medical assistant that has been cross trained for front and back office and has experience with weight loss programs. Someone who has no problem selling product to patients and explaining to them what each of the products do.
Some of the daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Answering the phones promptly, providing excellent customer service.
- Booking appointments correctly
- Rescheduling or canceling patient appointments as needed. Medical Record Management:
- Attach incoming patient information such as referral reports, lab reports, and medical records from other providers.
- File and retrieve charts and prepare charts Patient Check-in and Check-out:
- Greeting patients as they arrive, and ensuring each patient is seen by the provider in a timely manner. Identifies patients that need to update their information.
- Take vitals, administering injections and have them ready for the provider.
- Assess fees/discounts, collect payment, and provide a receipt to each patient.
- Maintain patient privacy at the front desk and in the reception area. Additional Requirements
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and good communication with the patients and clients and other team members.
Perform all Daily MA tasks
- Call patients and clients to inform them of any office promotions.
- Request and obtain records from other providers, as needed.
- Copy and send medical records as needed.
- Notify appropriate staff of office equipment repair orders or supply needs. Perform inventory of supplies weekly. Skills/Requirements Must have 1 year of previous front office experience in a medical office or in a medical weight loss facility.
- Must have experience with PC- based business applications software such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Proper English grammar, usage, spelling, and punctuation; modern business office procedures, including filing systems, business correspondence, and telephone techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, have strong problem-solving skills. Education:- Must have graduated from an accredited medical assistant program
We do offer Medical, Dental and Vision after 60 days if you work full time
Experience in assisting provider with dispensing medication to patients
Previous experience up selling and cross-selling to customers

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Saturdays mandatory
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
