Header Operator II

Position Summary

Ability to set up and operate a variety of multi-die headers with little to no supervision. Must be able to read blueprints, inspect parts using a variety of quality tools and gauges, and troubleshoot as needed to run quality parts to meet customer demand. THIS IS A 2nd SHIFT POSITION 3pm-11pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and perform complex machine set up as required.
• Setup, adjust, and operate equipment as trained in a safe manner.
• Ability to determine tooling adjustments needed to maintain proper set-ups on multiple header sizes and types.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Properly use gauges and other quality tools to ensure production of good parts.
• Perform first piece inspections, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance, complete all required tracking documents.
• Perform the duties required o record data for SPC, ISO/IATF 16949 documentation.
  
  

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• 2-5 years experience running Headers-Formax Header is a plus!
• HSD/GED or equivalent experience
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform basic math
