Dental Receptionist/Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Provide outstanding customer service: smile and greet patients
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Maintain Appointment book by following up on no show or cancelled appointments and going through recall list for unscheduled patients
- Manage patient records and update medical history in the system
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations when handling patient information
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Skills (receptionist):

- Proficient in using dental office software such as Open Dental, Practice-Web
- Verify patient eligibility for dental insurances (PPO & Medical). Get breakdowns for PPO
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle a multi-line phone system
-Participate and support marketing initiatives for recalls and new patient growth
-Assist with administrative assignments as directed by the Front office lead
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology

Skills (dental assistant):

-Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
-Taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays).
-Takes impressions for diagnostic and opposing models. Pour up models and trim
-Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
-Can work both front and back

Please note that previous experience working in a dental office is required. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and can work well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
