Role Description
The Project Accountant will have 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience. This is a dynamic, cross-functional role centered in construction project accounting, with broad exposure to the full accounting function across a diverse portfolio of affiliated entities in the medical, real estate, and business services sectors. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in general accounting, demonstrated ability to perform job costing and project analysis, and the communication skills to work effectively with non-financial personnel. Construction industry experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in general accounting and general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in debits, credits, and standard accounting principles
- Experience working in a project-based or operations-facing accounting role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey financial data to non-financial audiences
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Experience with accounting software required; construction or project-based platforms preferred (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Tech-forward mindset and prior experience with AI tools is a plus, but a genuine willingness to learn and actively embrace emerging technology in day-to-day work is essential.
