What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Designer position at Fong & Chan Architects?
Fong & Chan Architects (FCA) is an award-winning design firm in San Francisco. We are seeking a full time, on-site Architect/Designer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Designer to develop project
- Research and analyze building codes
- Conduct site analyses
- Research materials, finishes and furnishings
- Prepare and develop presentation materials
- Support the development and production of design, specifications and working drawings
- Provide support for Construction Administration Phase Services
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes
- Provide support on feasibility and concept study reports, as well as programming documents
- Coordinate with engineering consultants
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an architectural office
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with local building codes
- Healthcare experience or interest in healthcare projects is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
