The Automotive Service Scheduler is responsible for managing inbound and outbound service appointments, coordinating repair scheduling, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from check-in to check-out.
Position Overview
The Service Scheduler serves as the first and last point of contact for many service customers. This position requires strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and professionalism in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule automotive service appointments via phone, email, and online scheduling systems
- Confirm customer appointments and provide service reminders
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair timelines and availability
- Greet customers and assist with service check-in and check-out
- Maintain accurate customer records in dealership CRM and DMS systems
- Support service advisors and service department workflow
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive customer experience
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership, service BDC, call center, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage high call volume
- Comfortable using multiple computer programs and scheduling software
- Professional phone skills and customer communication
