Folkes Home Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Oil Burner Service Technician with a positive attitude to join our growing and dedicated team.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able demonstrate having trouble shooting, technical and customer service skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required

• Investigates problems and performs repairs on various oil boiler and burner equipment
• Resolves issues and concerns with customers in a manner that ensures satisfaction and builds customer loyalty. Provides technical support to customers as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and cleanings of oil burner systems and ensures mechanical systems are running at peak efficiency by inspecting equipment for operating efficiency and safety standards.
• Responds to emergency situations and resolves immediate safety concerns.
• Installation and maintenance of pumps, hoses and nozzles of “on-site” skid tanks, Roth and Granby heating oil tank installation on exterior of house as well as in basement.
• Maintains records of work performed by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, duration and parts and material used. Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. Performs tasks as required.
• Communicate with Dispatcher and Service departments
• Exhibit courteous and helpful behavior towards customers and co-workers
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Have great communication skills and a positive nature
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Apple Air may conduct a pre-employment background check and drug test, subject to applicable law
  
  
  

Experience

• HVAC 1 year (Preferred)
• Oil and propane technician 2 years minimum
  
  
  

License/Certification

• EPA Type II (Preferred)
• Driver's License
