Job Overview:
The Housekeeper will oversee the cleanliness of the entire Inn including maintaining 8 rooms and a back house addition. They will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, including but not limited to disposing trash, and changing beds. This person must maintain a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with guests. Restocking cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance needs to the Innkeeper is essential. Hours and days may vary based off of events and individual property needs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma: required
- Hospitality Experience: required
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Services
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests
- Assist guests when necessary
- Report and return any guest properties found in rooms while rendering service
General
- Change sheets, clean and disinfect after each guest check out
- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors in all areas including entry
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks and tubs
- Dust and polish guest rooms when necessary
- Clean and stock restrooms including soap and shampoo
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Keep linen room stocked
- Properly clean furniture when needed
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks, tubs, floors and commodes
- Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions
- Implementing all washing, dry cleaning services or liens towels, etc.
- Assist with cleaning up activities and events booked at Vintner's Inn
- Properly cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment
Administrative
- Create daily job lists and record all serviced rooms
- Notify Innkeeper of necessary repairs
- Report any shortages of supplies
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- May perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods
Key Performance Indicators:
- Assist with maintaining a high cleanliness standard
- Identifies and owns the standards for Vintner's Inn customer experience
- Positive feedback from the client and guests regarding entire stay within 30 days of the checkout date
