Dispensary Associate
Job Description
The Dispensary Associate is responsible for ensuring each customer receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly environment. Assist customers with their needs, have solid product knowledge, and excellent attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards.
- Develop and maintain a positive report with our customers, vendors, and other staff members.
- Ensure customer’s concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently.
- Recommend, select, and help locate the proper products for customers depending on their individual needs.
- Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to customers clearly and effectively.
- Accurately ring up sales on the point of sales system and process cash and cashless ATM transactions.
- Ensure strict controls to protect Foliage’s assets at the direction of management.
- Assist with displays, merchandising, and keeping a clean neat and tidy store.
- Assist with inventory counts and replenishing floor stock.
- Collect and maintain customer profile information: phone number, email, notes, etc.
- Answer phone as needed
- Provide other related work as required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Retail, cash handling, and Point of Sale (POS) experience required.
- Proficient computing skills.
- Knowledge of cannabis products and the industry is desirable, but not required.
- Must be 21 years old and pass criminal background check.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match.
- Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction.
- High level of energy and integrity.
- Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
Work may require prolonged standing, some bending, and stooping. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, debit card machine, telephone, printer, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
