Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami Lakes, FL, for a Customs Entry Writer. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting customs documentation, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments, and monitoring the clearance and release process. You will communicate with clients and government agencies, resolve customs-related issues, maintain accurate records, and stay informed about changes in customs regulations and trade compliance. Attention to detail, organization, and strong communication skills are key to excelling in this role.
Qualifications
- Experience in customs entry writing, including handling documentation and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Strong knowledge of tariff classification, duty calculations, and trade programs.
- Proficiency in electronic entry processing, OGA filings, 214 admissions, CF7512's, and importer security filing (ISF 10 2).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with clients and government agencies (e.g., FDA, USDA, FWS).
- Ability to perform detailed research and stay updated on customs regulations, trade compliance, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in computer systems related to customs brokerage, including ABI software.
- Familiarity with special trade programs, quota entries, inbonds, and FTZ admissions is a plus.
- Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, or international trade is necessary.
