What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Delivery Driver position at Foley Oil & Propane?
Foley Oil & Propane is looking for a CDL-B Fuel Delivery driver to join our team! This candidate would be responsible for safely, and efficiently delivering petroleum products to residential and commercial customers. This is a full-time position that requires early morning starts and a flexibility to work overtime. This position requires dependability, commitment to exceptional customer service, ability to work independently, the desire to work as part of a team and a thorough understanding of Foley Oil & Propane’s promises and/or guarantees.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a safety check of the delivery vehicle on a daily basis reporting any items needing repair to manager
- Safely and productively reviews daily delivery list, loads truck, and makes deliveries according to federal and state regulations and company policy
- Follows all established delivery standards with emphasis on customer service, efficiency and productivity
- Attends and takes an active role in delivery driver meetings
- Effectively communicates with Main Office throughout the day. Proactively reports any customer concerns encountered or other problems encountered.
- Promotes good customer service relations by professionally interacting with all customers and by respecting customer property
- Maintains a clean and organized truck stocked with appropriate tools and safety equipment. Takes responsibility for adhering to truck safety standards
Physical Requirements:
- The position requires frequent standing, walking and sitting
- There is occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and climbing
- There is frequent use of hands/arms to reach, feel, handle, or pull
- There is frequent communication involving both talking and listening
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
Requirements:
- CDL B License (CDL A is a plus)
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Must be available for early morning start: 5 AM
- All delivery drivers are subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
