What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Litigation Associate - San Francisco position at Foley & Lardner LLP?
Foley & Lardner is seeking a 3rd-4th year associate (Class of 2022-2023) to join the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in our San Francisco office. Qualified candidate must be a persuasive legal writer and oral advocate and will have experience with complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts, including conducting and managing written and document discovery, researching and drafting pleadings, motions and other court filings, conducting/defending depositions, preparing witnesses for testimony, appearing for status conferences, and arguing motions in both state and federal court. Participation in settlement conferences and negotiations and experience with trial preparation is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and must be comfortable having direct interaction with partners and clients.
