Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering products efficiently and safely to our customers, ensuring a positive experience with every interaction. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of direction, excellent customer service skills, and a strong work ethic to keep deliveries on schedule and maintain high standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including automobiles and commercial trucks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and optimize fuel usage.
- Handle heavy lifting and merchandise loading/unloading with proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Communicate clearly with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts, invoices, and route documentation.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained for safety and efficiency.
- Work in the warehouse when not doing deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of route driving, automobile transportation, and traffic laws.
- Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory checks.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Previous retail store experience or customer service background preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper procedures.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day.
