Job overview
Focuslight, a global vendor of photonic component solutions, is seeking a dynamic, motivated and high energy sales account manager or director to drive revenue growth at our key accounts in North America focused in Telecommunications or CE Industry
Based in the San Francisco bay area, you will represent the Focuslight brand of products, at major OEM customers across all our segments, with particular focus on consumer electronics and telecom/datacom market segments.
With our strong portfolio of micro- optics and laser component and modules, you will identify and deliver compelling solutions for customers’ photonics requirements.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly meet or exceed your sales quota, while aggressively expanding the total sales opportunity funnel in NA.
- Employ best in class ‘consultative selling’ sales strategies, to establish and grow revenues at new and existing $B global OEM customers.
- Cultivate personal relationships at all levels within our target accounts, visiting them regularly in order to ensure strong customer alignment, satisfaction and retention.
- Provide sales leadership for the full customer product life-cycle, maximizing Focuslight market share at all target accounts in the region.
- Through critical market analysis, identify new business opportunities and market adjacencies for Focuslight capabilities.
- Provide regular updates to internal Focuslight teams via CRM, customer contact reports, forecasts and ad-hoc reporting request.
- Participate in trade fair appearances, conferences and other marketing activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 10 years of sales or business development experience in photonics markets, with successful track record of closing multi $M deals at large global consumer electronics and/or optical communications logos.
- Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated success in managing complex technology design cycles.
- BSc or higher degree in a science or engineering discipline.
- Ambitious, results-oriented and independent mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Disciplined and accurate forecasting and CRM ability.
- Willingness to travel >60% of the time within NA, with occasional trips to Asia or EMEA.
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
