FocusKPI is looking for a Software QA Engineer to join one of our clients, a high-tech SaaS company.Work Location: Mountain View, CA; (on-site 4 days a week)Duration: 12-month contract; hybrid rolePay Range: $60/hr to $70/hrResponsibilities:As PC Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing end-to-end testing of a product or feature, including requirement and design analysis, test case creation & review, manual test execution, and developing automation tests for PC (Windows), focusing on UEFI-based BIOS.Create Test cases with good coverage and clear and concise writingUnderstand project/features through limited documentation and able to ask quality questions to understand the bigger picture, and design a test case covering E2EDesign, develop, and maintain automation test toolsCollaborate with onsite and overseas cross-functional teams during the project life cycle for requirement gathering, design analysis, issue debugging, and fix validationDrive the overall quality of the project, assess, report product quality risks, and ensure quality deliverablesAnalyze quality metrics, identify areas of improvement, and implement innovative ideas to enhance the product qualityQualifications:3 years’ experience in UEFI-based BIOS ValidationsEducation: Master's in Computer Science or EquivalentExperience with debugging tools and techniques – UART, JTAG Debug, and WindbgBasic programming knowledge in Python and writing scriptsGood understanding of System Validation / Platform validation on Windows OS Platforms with focus on UEFI-based BIOS and firmware updatesExperience testing Secure boot, anti-roll back/rollback prevention, self-healing, and data secure protection is a plusExcellent understanding of QA processes and methodologiesAbility to work on multiple simultaneous projects /initiativesCustomer-centric: Anybody you interact with can be considered a customer.Deep-diver: Curious about everything and insists on understanding the big picture.Quality advocate: Maintain high standards when it comes to product quality.Innovator: Constantly on the lookout for improving what we do.Proactive: self-starter with a keen eye for details, with focus on end-user experiences and ability to go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release in a fast-paced and changing environment Thank you!FocusKPI Hiring TeamFounded in 2010, FocusKPI, Inc.
