Focused Ultrasound Resources (FUR) is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Sonographer to join our team in the Greater Denver area.

The Position

As a Veterinary Sonographer, you will travel to veterinary hospitals throughout the Greater Denver area to perform diagnostic ultrasound and echocardiographic examinations on companion animals.

You will be responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic images, communicating effectively with the veterinary team, and ensuring each examination is performed with exceptional patient care and technical quality.

This position is ideal for someone who is confident in their scanning abilities, enjoys a mobile work environment, and takes pride in delivering consistently excellent imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic abdominal, thoracic, echocardiogram and other veterinary ultrasound examinations
  • Obtain complete, high-quality diagnostic image sets according to FUR protocols
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient handling and care
  • Work directly with veterinarians and hospital staff during examinations
  • Communicate pertinent findings and technical observations appropriately with the veterinary team
  • Maintain accurate examination documentation and image submission
  • Operate and maintain mobile ultrasound equipment
  • Travel to veterinary hospitals throughout the assigned territory
  • Maintain a professional relationship with veterinary hospitals and their teams
  • Collaborate with board-certified veterinary radiologists and cardiologists
  • Follow established FUR imaging, safety, quality-control, and communication protocols
  • Represent FUR professionally in every hospital and patient interaction

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • ARDMS or other recognized sonography credentials
  • Previous professional experience performing veterinary ultrasound
  • Strong diagnostic ultrasound skills and knowledge of veterinary anatomy
  • Comfortable performing ultrasound examinations independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of image quality
  • Ability to travel throughout the Greater Denver area
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Preferred:

  • Veterinary or human echocardiography experience
  • Experience working in a mobile imaging environment
  • Experience working directly with veterinary hospitals and veterinarians

Our mobile model allows veterinarians to keep their patients in-house, while giving them access to highly trained sonographers and board-certified veterinary specialists.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, visit different veterinary practices, build relationships with veterinary teams, and continually expand your clinical skills.

Schedule

Full-Time: 32 - 40 hours per week based on your preference

The schedule is designed to provide a strong work-life balance while allowing you to build a rewarding career in veterinary diagnostic imaging.

Regional travel throughout the Greater Denver area is required.
