We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced restaurant team. This role is responsible for ensuring all equipment, facilities, and systems are functioning properly to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in fryers, grills, refrigeration units, beverage machines, and other restaurant equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts replacement when necessary.
- Assist with minor building repairs, including painting, flooring, and lighting.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and order replacements as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or repair, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
